Asphalt paving in Eagle Mountain covers a lot of territory. The city spans about 50 square miles in Cedar Valley, along the western and northern bases of the Lake Mountains, at an elevation of about 4,885 feet. It incorporated as a town in December 1996 and has grown fast ever since: 2,157 residents in 2000, 21,415 in 2010, 43,623 in 2020, and an estimated 66,557 in 2025.
